Wearing purple clothes, the Society of English Majors came together for the annual festivities organized for Women’s Month on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at different campuses of the University of Caloocan City.
At Congress Campus, Students from BSE-English 2A showed support by participating in the Purple Parade, showing their full support by foregrounding their own banner while walking through the Congressional Road.
Meanwhile, students from BSE-ENG 2B joined Yusisistas on a seminar organized by the University’s Guidance and Counseling Center at Camarin Extension Campus. The event, titled “HERstory in the Making: Women who Lead, Women who Slay,” involved discussions and stories regarding the impact of women in society.
These Women’s Month movements are parallel with this year's theme: “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” with the Purple Walk becoming a staple in the month-long celebration of the power of women in different aspects of life.
The Society of English Majors is committed to promoting the influence of women by not only participating in events but also creating a lifelong advocacy as educators to uplift the community to eve greater heights.
